ABOUT
Andreas Uranowicz is a new media artist, film editor & filmmaker with a background in media design. He has worked with notable editors such as Monika Schindler and Nils Pagh Anderson, as well as acclaimed directors like Philip Gröning and Ai Weiwei.
In 2018, Andreas won the Best Editing Award at the ISFF Izmir for his work on 'Everything is fine', a feature film directed by Metehan Sereflioglu. The following year, he contributed his editing skills to the feature film 'Because We Dreamt of Flying' directed by Lilian Erlinger, which premiered at the Hof International Filmfestival.
Aside from his work in film, Andreas has also created two documentary shorts: 'TAVY', which premiered at the New Earth International Environment Festival in Cracow, and 'Round About', which premiered at the 41st Brussels Independent Film Festival.
In collaboration with the German embassy, Andreas exhibited 'The Colors of Ancient Egypt', the first new media exhibition at the Egyptian Museum Cairo in 2018.
Currently, Andreas is working on completing a VR documentary where he digitally recreates an exorcism center in Madagascar and integrates his video recordings from the location. He is based in Berlin and continues to explore his passion, working on projects that challenge and inspire him.
